Started as an artistic expression of the fashion industry, the LA based unisex clothing brand Gallery Dept. grew from the mind of artist Josué Thomas. The brand has been adopted by some of our favorite celebs from Virgil Abloh to Kendrick Lamar, and also created multiple collaborations with French high fashion brand Lanvin. However, unfortunately last fall, Josué and Gallery Dept. announced they will be ‘withdrawing from the fashion industry’, arguably at its height. Though unclear what’s prompting the shutdown, Thomas has no shortage of ideas with hush brand Chatteu Josué in the works and also social club Le Bar Dé Music De La Galerie.
